Yes, I want to share this list with you because so I’m so pissed of that everybody is talking about “Oh Stranger Things is amazing”, “hey did you watch Lucifer” (Yes, of course I did became Santa worshipper, See! Only six packs of Tom Ellis can ruin your POV about religion!), “Wow what a crazy ride, I think I’m in love with Joe Goldberg!”
Okay, I got it, I adore these series, too. But don’t you want to be introduced with something fresh, exhilarating, entertaining, mind spinning, smart, enjoyable? Aren’t you excited to explore new things? Did you just say “Hell no!”! Okay, your loss, I’m still writing my list and you are free to leave the page and don’t come back! Oh, you already did! Your loss!
Here’s my list I never get bored to watch over and over again:
1)SPACED: Are you die-hard fans of “Shaun of Dead” and “Hot Fuzz” like me. Well, Mr. Pegg and Mr. Frost are working on new mind blowing and sarcastic thriller series right now! But just before their epic movies (and before Simon Pegg turned into vampire Tom Cruise’s bestie and IT guru Benji) they made this two seasoned incredibly funny, humorous, entertaining series. There are only 14 episodes and each of them is clever, stunning and really funny! I think this is one of the underrated and best British comedy series! (Definitely deserves a remake and it should bring Jessica Hynes and Simon Pegg’s writing collaboration back!) Oh you know Edgar Wright is the director of the series (post Shaun of the Dead and Baby Driver times)
2)PEEP-SHOW: Another amazing British comedy and thankfully it run for 9 seasons (maybe it’s not so underrated enough for this list but I’m so sure most of you haven’t heard of it!) Mark and Jez are another couple of roommates, living their abnormal life because it is not possible for them to cope with regular day to day life routine. And guess what, we have Oscar, Golden Globe winner, queen, fairy godmother, Broadchurch’s badass detective Olive Colman (I wish I could be drinking buddies with her! She is so hilarious after a few glasses later!)
3)Leftovers: This is one of the mindf*cking, brain cell destroyer series make you exhaust, rocks your world, makes you suffer from short term amnesia (I kept asking myself who I am, where I am coming from and why the hell I keep watching this!) Two percent of global population gets lost and the people stay behind try to move on, starting a clean slate, dealing with their grief but things are getting more complicated for them than they expected!
Great series with so two unlikeable leading actors ( yes, I hate Justin Theroux! I still cannot believe why Jen Aniston married with him but I truly understand why they broke up!) and Carrie Coon (nope, I didn’t like her at Sinner, too! I have problem to connect with Aquarius women) but at least we have our first Dr. Who on the board (yes, I’m talking about Christopher Eccleston!) which saves the ensemble!
4)Night Of: A Pakistani-American student takes his father’s taxi for attending party on Friday night. He is charmed by a beautiful woman but at the very end of the night he is accused to stab her to death and small time lawyer John Stone played by one and only John Turturro (I’m so happy he finally got his own Big Lebowski sequel!) This thought-provocative, impactful, thrilling series with so many mixed reviews but it really deserves to be praised by Mr. Turturro’s underrated, compelling performance!
5)Big little lies , ha ha, hell no, I was checking to make sure you’re really reading my words( In my opinion this series is unbelievably overrated and book is so much better, read Liane Moriarty books ASAP! Especially “What Alice Forgot” is my favorite!)
Let’s get back to my other UR series: “Schitt’s Creak”
Oh guys Eugene Levy is more than a horny American Pie actor’s father who recently lost some of his marbles! Very rich family finds themselves broke and moves to Schitt’s Creak as you can imagine a shitty, alternate universe kind of bizarre, awkward place! Especially Eugene Levy’s real life son Dan Levy steals the show! This is another clever, hilarious, laugh-out loud, absurd, creative comedy! You don’t want to miss it! Just binge-watch on Netflix!
My list will continue just stay tuned, wait for me add more series and be patient! Oh there is nobody reading this article right! So I’m talking to myself. Well guess what? Again: Your loss!
